Road surface in Chapel Street

Reported via mobile in the Pothole category by Chris Gibb at 11:53, Wednesday 2 June 2021

Sent to Warwickshire County Council less than a minute later

There are potholes, poor surface, loose tarmac pieces and splits in the tarmac (dangerous for cyclists). There is also frequent flooding at the Park Street end of Chapel Street, with the water flowing down chapel street, damaging the surface. This road is closing 5/7/21 to 8/7/21 for a new domestic gas main to be installed. Can the road surface and drainage be improved during this work, even if the closure lasts longer ?

  • In the evening of 28 Aug, my wife caught her foot in the channel that runs down the middle of Chapel Street which caused her to twist her ankle and fell, grazing her knee and elbow. The channel is a result of the road wearing away in the centre and is two to three inches deep.
