Discarded building material and rubbish

Reported via iOS in the Fly Tipping category anonymously at 09:47, Wednesday 2 June 2021

Sent to Stevenage Borough Council less than a minute later

A local property recently had an extension built. The builders took a pubic parking space for the duration of the build, for their skips, and have left the mess as shown in the pictures. It is unacceptable.

  • Allowing people to knowingly fly tip and treat their own estate with such lack of care is unacceptable. The windows were taken away yesterday. The small square piece of land that has been the dumping ground is still messy. The car parking bay is still unusable. It has not been tidied up. I would really like to know if any action has been taken against the owner of 560 York road for this or the builders she hired? It would be good to know if we are all allowed to steal a public parking space for our private use for 6 months? And use public land as a temporary dumping ground?

  • The boards have been lifted but building debris remains. It needs to be cleared up. It is so unacceptable. The owner of the property at 560 clearly does not give a damn about the neighbourhood. And the council are allowing this to set a standard. Please get involved and resolve.

  • Building debris STILL there and builders still working on property at 560 York Road. Should I now assume it is ok to make and leave such a mess for such a long period of time? Disgusting.
