Tree hanging over footpath

Reported via desktop in the Trees category by Ros Amato at 15:17, Tue 1 June 2021

Sent to Leeds City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2761517.

There is a young tree that overhangs the public footpath at the rear of 140 Butterbowl Drive, growing at the side of the fence of the house directly behind. Someone does cut odd branches back but this is usually cut right back to the roots fully by the council each year yet hasn't been this year. The branches can encroach into the footpath, particularly after rainy weather with the weight on the leaves.

Updates

  • There is no consistency with how issues are dealt with. Fly tipping can be collected in hours or not at all. When multiple issues are reported in the same area they are not dealt with together which is inefficient.
