Missing Residents Permit Parking sign

Reported via desktop in the Car parking category anonymously at 14:51, Mon 31 May 2021

Sent to Folkestone and Hythe District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2759309.

There is no sign at the entrance of the Lower Sandgate Road part that leads behind the Marine Crescent building, to indicate to visitors that the parking area beyond is resident permit parking only (between 8 am and 6pm). As a result people drive into the road looking for parking and need to then drive out (backwards) OR park unaware of the restrictions as the signs attached to the back fences of the building are small and often obscured by the large waste containers. On sunny, busy days resident permit holders dread using their cars, knowing they won't be able to park when coming home (even during restricted hours) . It seems not enough control and fines are issued to non-permit holders. The timings of restrictions is also too limited as working residents find they can't park when coming home after 6pm during warmer months.
