Abandoned bins and access for gardeners

Reported via desktop in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category anonymously at 15:03, Sun 23 May 2021

Sent to South Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2743905.

Could something be done to clear the area adjacent to 19 Ruskin Close. There are two abandoned bins there. (The two in the centre in the photograph) One is a brown bin which the collection service will not take as it contains mixed waste and the other is a black bin without a lid which doesn't belong to anyone, it is never moved and seems to be used as a communal overflow bin. Also you can see a 'tree' there which is apparently a giant cow parsley or hogweed. Because of these the landscape gardeners are unable to access the grass to mow it and is currently overgrown and makes the whole road look a mess.

Updates

  • Thank you for removing the bins so quickly, However, less than 24 hours later there has been more rubbish just dumped there. Look like white shelves if these could also be removed please to allow access for the overgrowth to be cleared. You also have advised me that the overgrown clearance and cutting down the weeds is Oxfordshire County Council so I registered this again on their 'Fix my street' but they have emailed me back and advised it is SODC not OCC! Thank you
