Constant rubbish on the pavements

Reported via mobile in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 10:08, Wednesday 12 May 2021 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich less than a minute later

There is constantly rubbish on the pavements and at the sides of the road. There is permanently dog faeces which is like playing hopscotch to get to the car or walk down the road. It’s cleaned on day and then returns to the disgusting state overnight. These picture were taken AFTER the rubbish was collected by the council. We’ve had rats chew through into the flat. It’s appalling.

  • This side of the street is constantly filthy. All kind of wild animals feed on rubbish and spread it everywhere. Utterly unacceptable.

  • Because of the constant rubbish on the pavements it’s constantly blowing down the steps into our entrance way. Today I had a note from the post delivery person requesting I make the steps safe for them to use because of the rubbish that wasn’t there yesterday and I didn’t have time to clean up on my way to work. I’ve worked incredibly hard to make the entrance way look better and it’s ruined by the litter that blows in. I am sick of having to pick up other people’s rubbish in my own space. PLEASE can someone do something about the constant litter. It’s making my home a miserable place to live. It’s also a health hazard because I’m having to pick up face masks and cigarette butts, which is a covid risk.

  • Slightly better than before, but then made infinitely worse by not collecting the bins for an entire week because of the bank holiday.
