Bulb dead and post ugly, reported to parish and local councils 18 months ago

Sent to Leicestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2714513.

Lamp post looks awful with metal and paint chips. bulb not working. post moves in wind. parish vs mbc informed 18 months ago with no result.

  • Reported to members from 3 councilss and associations before the pandemic and each denies ownership of this street lamp. Melton BC say not them. Parish council say not them. Residents Housing association same story. I'm frustrated and still no further forward without any help or action. Checking how to remove an abandoned street light currently but not expecting any positive news.

  • Still nothing heard - july 2021 I beleive this abandoned lamppost has no owner and a dead bulb. Whats the plan now? MBC legal team supposed to be seeing if it can get removed as it is useless for 2 years so far.

  • Still no help from anyone. I think it's going to remain abandoned until it rots. Informed the highways agency, 3 council's, the district ward and local MP. No results just shrugged shoulders and denials so far.
