Dear sirs, I regularly walk across this pedestrian crossing and on a daily basis cars do not see when the road light is red. This is, perhaps, due to the sequencing on the lights as when cars exit from Milton park to turn left to Didcot that junction light turns green at the same time as the crossing light turns red - the ted light at 180 degrees to the left isn’t visible as one exits the Milton park. Can the sequencing be changed e.g. the crossing light goes to red when cars are coming around the roundabout as then they will have a clean line of sight?

Updates

  • Thank you for your recent report. The crossing forms part of the junction and does run just before the Milton park exit receives a green. The crossings operation has been checked and found to be working as intended without any current faults. The accident data has also been checked for this crossing point and doesn't show there to be an accident problem. Based on this information there are no changes planned to the junctions operation.

State changed to: No further action
