Debris on Riverbank Goyt in Central Stockport

Reported via desktop in the Flytipping category anonymously at 18:00, Tue 4 May 2021

Sent to Stockport Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2706684.

Following a wall collapse during a river flood, a large amount of debris fell down into the river and onto the bank. Months later it remains to be gradually washed into the river. It would appear that more debris is being added at the left hand side of the collapsed area. Unsightly and a significant pollution risk.

Updates

  • Looking at the mess I’d say there was more debris than Juliet a wall collapsed, this looks like an industrial scale fly tipping.
