Continuous deterioration of road edge with holes around 4 inches 10cm deep

Reported via desktop in the Potholes category anonymously at 11:51, Tue 4 May 2021

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2705624.

These holes have been getting worse for the last couple of years and get washed out every time it rains and cause significant blockages in the drains. They cause problems to, and are exacerbated by, vehicles, many of which are large lorries which use the side of the road as passing places.

  • With the recent torrential rain, the situation is getting worse. It won’t be long until someone damages their car.

  • Had a letter from the council saying they didn’t believe the situation warranted repairs, basically - live with it. Very tempted to pour in a large bucket of concrete and wait to see who complains about that. The hole is now over 6 inches deep and about 2 foot long and just getting worse!!
