Construction fence around park is open/broken, meaning that it falls down in places. I witnessed several children trying to stand it back up, moving the heavy base blocks in an attempt to do this. Also, they tried to push back in one of the broken fence beams, which is hanging at head height.
My understanding of the park being signed off is that it has been handed over from Bellway but hasn't yet been officially opened and therefore a construction fence remains in place.
My concern is that, the fence may now be causing a higher risk to safety than the non-signed off park itself. There is now a real risk of someone getting hurt, i.e. fence falling on small child, someone cutting head on hanging fence beam.
The fence quality should be improved to the extent where it is difficult to break. However, inevitably people will still climb over etc.
Although, I do think its time, the bureaucracy was ended, the park opened officially and the construction fence removed.
