Fire Engine Emergency Access Road Blocked

Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 23:52, Sun 18 April 2021

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2678262.

The emergency access (for fire engines) between North Road and Sandringam Road is being frequently blocked by a van (photographed). It is also being used for storage of dustbins for number 57 Sandringam Road.

This is a fairly frequent occurrence. There is no dropped kerb on either end of the access, so the van should not be mounting it, and obviously blocking emergency access for vehicles is a serious issue.

Updates

  • I've received an e-mail from HCC basically saying it's not their problem.

It is not my policy and not my job to redirect queries due to miscategorisation sent by an automated system and be bounced around. I do not live here and it is not my problem if emergency services cannot get through.

Do not ask me to fix issues for you.

    Many thanks.
