School Zone Road Markings Fading Away

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 21:25, Tue 24 July 2012

Sent to Birmingham City Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 267767.

On Green Lane Small Heath, Outside Marlborough School the markings on the road indicating that this is a school zone have faded away. The yellow lines outside the school have faded due to heavy traffic.

Outside No. 375 Green Lane there is a Red Painted line across the road which indicates that this is a school zone and also outside the school the Red Box Areas have due to the very heavy traffic on this road this has faded away. Also some of the Yellow Zig Zag lines outside the school have also faded away.

Please could these be repainted and addressed.

Due to the heavy traffic on this road I feel that this needs to be done urgently in order to reduce speed of motorists passing the school and also to make them more aware of the school area and that children are nearby when entering/leaving school.
