14 inch pothole and 12 inch pothole in London Road (westbound)

Sent to Kent County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2672397.

These potholes have been present since Christmas 2020. The noise from cars (and especially lorries and buses) going over these is extremely annoying as they are both right outside my house. The noise is further increased as both potholes are on the edge of drain covers creating a further rumble as the car tyres hit the lip of the drain. Kent Highways/MBC sent out inspector only a few weeks ago to inspect a loose drain cover about 3 meters from this site and apparently didn't notice the large scars in the road - incredible!. KH/MBC arranged only yesterday for the loose drain to be fixed; but because they had to close part of the carriageway you would have thought common sense would prevail and they would fix the potholes with a bit of tarmac at the same time - no apparently not ?? Please fix this urgently, its causing my house to shake when large vehicles run over these potholes/ Thank you

  • Took Council 4 weeks to acknowledge then further 2 weeks to visit site and mark out. Now nearly a further 2 weeks later still not done!
