Large lorries

Reported via mobile anonymously at 16:38, Fri 9 April 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2662529.

Large lorries 20 tonne plus are travelling to and from a development on the Armstrong road. They are travelling fully loaded along the Henley Road a restricted 7.5 ton except for access road and crossing, (I was told) a load restricted bridge adjacent to VOC country club entrance. They go to access the A4074 toward Oxford as a short cut. I’m concerned as large lorries are travelling to and from A4074 Sandford on Thames shaking my property all day and waking me up. I was told this road is not designed for this kind of traffic and causing potholes and seems flooding now as I saw a water leak on road opposite Catherine wheel PH Sandford on Thames today . This has been going on for some time . Can you help Thanks

  • Is there any chance of an update on the above problem or has it been forgotten/ignored?? Many lorries are still travelling back and forth through Sandford to the Armstrong road development. Roads will be in a terrible state come winter time. I wonder what would have happened if the lorries had travelled through Littlemore to the Rose Hill roundabou?
