Overhanging Trees over pavement
Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 15:12, Mon 16 July 2012
Sent to Barnsley Borough Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 265724.
The first bungalow on Dove Road (Mr. Auty?) has leylandii and a willow tree as part of his garden. These are now overhanging the pavement on Dove Road and Brampton Road and 1) have to 'dodged' when walking on the pavement, 2) drip on to you when it rains & 3) cause a visionary obstruction for vehicles pulling out of Dove Road into Brampton Road. He needs to get them cut back!

Very little has changed - except the bungalow is now up for sale! Maybe someone else's future problem.

Once again I find myself reporting this nuisance; the leylandii trees overhanging Brampton Road are as high as the street lamp; they encroach into the roadway; people can only pass by one at a time on the pavement; when it rains anybody passing by gets p*** wet through! I thought there were rules about the height of conifers??

Someone has started to chop (can't call it pruning) these leylandii trees back, but they are still too high, and are now blocking the light from the lamp standard, making it very gloomy walking on the footpath at night. Are Barnsley Street Lighting aware of this?
