  • Good afternoon, I have a rather large tree outside my property on the grass which at this time of year gets a very sickly sweet smell coming from it. My concern is that every year the tree seems to be killing bumble bees, the tree sounds like it’s buzzing due to the amount of bees on it. The bees end up dead on the path, grass, parking area and my front garden. My son walked out of the house 10 minutes ago and a bee landed on his head, it wasn’t fully dead but it was dying. I counted 50 dead bees the other day just walking to my car. It is a bit of a worry that there are that many dead bees, it lasts for roughly 1-2 weeks and I dread to think how many bees die during that period.
