The children are dangerously climbing up the tree.

Reported via mobile in the Trees category anonymously at 18:53, Sun 28 March 2021

Sent to Leeds City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2639188.

The last tree in the sandringham green next to Highfield primary school. The children in the street are building extra bits of wood in to the lower part of the tree so they can climb up it. I saw one child climb up todsy about 4metres, It just a matter of time before the is an accsident or bad injury. If you can cut away all lower branches to about 4metres the chikdren could not climb up and you can stop this before serious injury happens. Thanks.

Updates

  • Only to reitterate what i've stated orignally. The young children living in the street & pupils from the school are dangerously climbing the tree nearest Highfield Primary school. Im trying to warn Leeds City Council before the facing a court case because some young child is seriously injured due to falling 20feet out of the tree. This could all be avoided if the bottom limbs of the tree up to about 3metres were removed by the Council work team. I will not waste anymore of my time trying to help the Council because you"ve got to want to help the Leeds public & apprently Leeds City Council don"t because they've been warned by helpful public citizens & done nothing. Good luck to L.C.C in court.
