Broken glass on path into Durham HIll (park)

Reported via desktop in the Street Cleaning category anonymously at 02:21, Thursday 25 March 2021

Sent to Lewisham Borough Council less than a minute later

Posting here but nothing will get done about it, council will just mark it 'internal review' which seems to mean ignore it and hope it goes away there has been broken glass on the path into Durham Hill (park) from Mooreside Road for the last week. most has been brushed aside by people kicking it out the way as bigger bits are against the green. like most glass breakages on the roads, the council do sod all about it and leave it up to the public to clean up (Q, where do we send the invoice for this or do we deduct it from the poll tax you just put up?)

  • Well glass is still there, nothing has been done - told you 'internal review or referral' is just their code for ignore it and hope it goes away. they will leave it, like they do all glass reports, until people walking over it clears it - if I or my dog gets cut by glass on the street they will get sued for millions by me!!

  • This still have not been cleared up - guess they are just leaving it for people to walk over and clear it that way - what do we pay the increased poll tax for? it's certainly NOT street cleaning as I said, internal review/referral means just ignore it and it will go away on it's own!!

  • Still not cleaned up but is getting less as people are walking over it. nice to know the council don't care about us and only want our money.

  • Lewisham Council NEVER fix anything to do with broken glass on pavements, they just mark it as Internal referral and ignore it until enough people and animals have walked over it and moved the glass, they just don't care about people.

  • No it has NOT been fixed, they just left and ignored it. some small bits of glass remain because the rest has gone by people and animals walking over it this is what they do with ALL broken glass on pavements and walkways, they only remove glass if a car might get damaged, they only care about cars, not people

  • Whilst the glass is not gone the council did nothing to clear this. it was people and animals walking over it that cleared it - exactly what do you pay council tax for? it certainly is NOT for road sweeping!!
