Huge lorries coming down Moira road again.House rocking with vibration.,

Reported via mobile in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 08:17, Fri 19 March 2021

Sent to Leicestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2618878.

Highways sorted it 3 years ago,its worse now. This road is a 7.5 and not marked as such.Yesterday haulage lorry reg FJ18NNK was stuck outside our property could not get through.Too big.It had to wait for about 20 minutes for oil delivery to clear.Cars overtaking speeding is horrendous.Dustbin men trying to work. Our ceilings are now cracking. The police have had mobile cameras at the other end of the road near Rawdon arms.Never up here. The vehicles fly round from Church street and fly over the humps.Motor bikes fly up to junction then tear off towards Oakthorpe. It is so dangerous school times are frightening

Updates

  • Still ongoing. We have had this problem for all of the 5 years we have lived here.Highways stopped the lorries once before and changed the hump outside our property.Donisthorpe is a cut through too and fro the A444.Although all these roads are 7.5 we are not signed as such at our end of Moira Road.It is crazy, especially as there is the school and a lollipop man crossing children too and fro four roads. The lorries make you move over for them,as the roads too and fro the A444 are not wide enough in a lot of places.
