Muddy verge
Reported via Android in the Grass category by Jo williams at 12:06, Wed 17 March 2021
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2614729.
This is the 2nd time I have reported this and I know some of my neighbours have also reported it. The grass verges are damaged by vehicles going over the curb/grass. This has been a long term thing mainly done by Biffer when they empty the bins. Due to the new build on Mullard Way there were lots of big trucks from there also going over the curb. I was told it was fixed last time I reported it, it clearly hasn't been. Churchill that own the new build in Mullard Way have tried to put some soil and grass seed there but as soon as this is done vehicles go over it and we back to the beginning. Clearly there needs to be something other than mud/grass there. Why dosnt the council put something like rubber grass mats or even put tarmac there.

Churchill made a commitment to me that they would reinstate this section of verge but the did not adequately. They did not seed this patch and until it is repaired properly as per above this will continue to be damaged as the mud is dark it looks like part of the road rather than the verge. I would like to request a road song is installed to stand proud of the verge to stop this being used as part of the road network. Please can you provide me an update on this?
This is also not the only commitment made by Churchill that they have not delivered on.

This report has been closed. However the issue has been passed to the relevant team for Programmed works. I have requested some bollards are installed to stop vehicles from driving on the footways.
