Footpath - too narrow and stiles rotten

Reported via desktop in the Rights of way category anonymously at 17:21, Fri 5 March 2021

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2589537.

In 2019, I complained to HCC Rights of Way about the state of this footpath which runs east from the road through Hill View Farm. Today we walked along it and found that nothing whatever has been done to rectify the problems I reported. For a start, the footpath is far too narrow as it leaves the road; the landowner has brought the field fence too close to the hedge; there should be a 1.2m width, but it's more like 0.5m. Then moving east there are several stiles within a short distance; these are largely composed of rotten steps, missing rails and loose posts. THEY ARE A HAZARD TO USERS OF THIS FOOTPATH, ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO ARE LESS ABLE BODIED. It's a dereliction of duty by HCC Rights of Way that nothing has been done to sort out the problems in the 2 years since I reported them.
