Overgrown verges force pedestrians to walk in road on blind bend
Reported via desktop in the Overgrown tree/hedges category by LLRA - Long Leys Residents Association at 09:42, Fri 5 March 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 391079.
On both the north and south sides of Long Leys Road, outbound Lincoln past the A46 underpass, there is a section of verge which is impassable due to growth from trees. This forces those using the verges to walk into the road on a blind bend. The hawthorn and other branches need cutting back to allow pedestrians to walk along the verges rather than the road. Cars regularly drive at 60mph round this blind bend, despite the 30mph speed limit.
