Tarmac dropped around drain. Causing immense vibration from heavy vehicles

Reported via mobile in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 14:38, Wed 3 March 2021

Sent to Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2584562.

Sorry, I can’t take a photo as road too fast. The tarmac has collapsed around the drain causing immense vibrations from HGVs. The tarmac was recently replaced as a strip across both lanes. The strip of tarmac is now inverted.

Updates

  • There are two or three drains between the two houses at the end of Scarfield Lane (on the A1101) that are causing the vibration issues and these have not been resolved. There is clearly an uneven surface that requires attention. Cracks in walls and skirtings are appearing from the excessive vibrations caused by the uneven surface.
