Sent to Windsor and Maidenhead Council less than a minute later
Having never visited Marlow until this week (01/03/2021) I was surprised with the extreme width restrictions on the suspension bridge that I only came across as I arrived at the bridge. With a 2m width restriction and a 1.85m wide car unfortunately with a small margin for error I hit one of the bollards.
With modern day cars being up to 2m in width and having seen the amount of damage to the bollards already I can see this being a big issue for traffic in Marlow.
Has this alteration been Road Safety Audited and the TPO updated to reflect the changes?
This measure has clearly not worked. Please can the council update publicly on the plan as to what to do to improve this. Every week cars are getting damaged, and more importantly, it is not stopping the wide vans which are continuing to cross anyway. A camera (similar to congestion charge) would be a better deterrent, and would stop this awful damage to cars
