Sent to Highways England less than a minute later
At the edge of the highway, very near to the boundary fence, there is a deep hole, close to a manhole chamber, into which a pedestrian (possibly from a broken down vehicle?) or a highway inspector could easily fall. It appears to be linked to the highway drainage system, which also picks up local land drains, severed by the Chester Southerly Bypass, in the 1970’s.
