Pedestrian safety concerns

Reported via mobile in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 21:46, Saturday 20 February 2021

Sent to Hertfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Street to narrow for two vehicles at the same time and this is okay as one can wait for another to pass. However there is always vehicles parked on the street and make the street impossible for another vehicle to pass through without driving on pavement. At multiple occasions vehicles were driving on pavement very fast and pedestrians safety was breached. This was tolerated for to long by myself without raising this concern. Last week I witnessed elderly person on wheelchair being almost hit by vehicle driving on pavement due to another car parked on the street.

PLEASE do something about it !!! I don't believe making street wider is quick and cheapest solution and this won't happen overnight however maybe with installing no parking signs and paint double yellow on the entrance road to Marymead Court. This won't cause any parking issues as further down there is a car park that can accommodate many vehicles.

This case is urgent as pedestrian safety is the most important and we are just waiting for accident to happen !!
