Large pothole

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2557944.

Pothole in lane towards Basingstoke close to centreline of road. This is an old pothole that has opened up again. Currently about 1.5ft wife and 2 inches deep.

  • Still not fixed. Now at least 6 large potholes. As a motorcyclist if I hit one I’d likely be thrown off the bike. Very dangerous.

  • Two potholes at this location were recently fixed but one large pothole still remains in the middle of the road here.

    Angry isn't the word. 04 June 21 commuting I hit this pothole overtaking a cyclist. My alloy wheel was damaged beyond repair and tracking rod end damaged. I had to end my commute and take the car to a local garage immediately. I picked it up Wednesday 16 June 21 with an invoice £1,083.76. I've just submitted a claim to Hampshire Council following risking my life taking photos. The stretch of road is littered with potholes. I commute it regularly and the stretch in Hampshire is the worst for damage to the road.
