Dips in cycle/footpath causing unnecessary large puddles

Reported via desktop in the Pavements/footpaths category by Neil Burns at 08:25, Mon 15 February 2021

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2545907.

There are a number of places that when it rain's cause some quite large puddles to manifest along the cycle/footpath from South Street right down to Crescent road in ALverstoke which means everyone is having to dodge the puddles and that then can cause more issues with cyclists suddenly needing to manoeuvre quickly. In fact, I myself forgot to look behind me before avoiding a large puddle while jogging and nearly got hit by a cyclist. That would have been messy!! I could not upload the other photos I have taken but there are more places along the cycle/footpath.

  • No, and I suspect neither the council nor the Hampshire highways will do anything unless something major happens and loads of people complain...
