Traffic Calming Humps Breaking Apart

Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 08:09, Thu 11 February 2021

Sent to Leicester City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2539222.

A traffic calming hump is coming apart, it's getting progressively wider. Whilst your on fixing this please add resurfacing this road to your repair plans for Leicester roads.

Updates

  • Just take them away...they are nothing but a pain and totally useless. They do nothing to address the real issue of a reduced speed zone for the new houses. If you live on this road all you hear, and see, are cars speed up slow down, cars mounting kerbs trying to avoid them or swerving the last/first one. Motorbikes don’t care about them and commercial vehicles just carry on at full blast not to mention the noise they make when they do strike them. A completely stupid idea to grant planning permission for the new houses. Why not put in a average speed camera for the short strip in both directions. It would address the problem properly and provide the intended safety for pedestrians and other road users.
