Jarvis Road Flats Flytipping

Reported via Android in the Flytipping category anonymously at 22:52, Sun 7 February 2021

Sent to Birmingham City Council less than a minute later

Issue of a flytipped fridge in the footpath between Jarvis Road Flats and the allotments.

Further long term issues of the waste facilities of the flats being inadequate meaning piles of rubbish are left outside the flats every week blowing into the surrounding neighbourhood.

Please can I be put in contact with someone who manages the waste for the flats as there aren't enough bins and the lack of management means every week the issue gets worse meaning it's pointless litter picking the area.

Based on the DEFRA code of practice on litter and refuse this area would easily qualify as Grade D, the worst rating. Why should we have to put up with living in such a tip because of this poor management? Why can't refuse bins have lids and why when they are overfull do they get left out in the open to blow around? Why does the managing agent not clear up this mess every week?

The litter has a massive negative effect on the community and encourages flytipping along the footpath as the surrounding area looks like a dump.
