More a stream than a road

Reported via iOS in the Gully and Catchpits category anonymously at 09:08, Saturday 6 February 2021

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2528671.

Swerford road needs a complete overhaul. The drainage is shot and gullies blocked so run off comes down and across the road making it treacherous when icey. The surface has many potholes.

  • Thank you for your report. I have visited this location today, 24.2.21, and found a small amount of water on the carriageway from low level land drainage. This is the responsibility of the adjacent landowner for the drainage of their land. There are no gullies in this location which is typical of a road such as this. There are grips in this location which were taking the small amount of water off the carriageway during my visit. All pothole defects which meet Oxfordshire County Council levels have been raised for repair in the location given.

State changed to: No further action
