Illegal Parking, and miss use of road

Reported in the Car parking category by Stuart Thomson at 18:49, Sun 13 May 2012

Sent to Edinburgh City Council 1 minute later

I cannot believe after spending over £500, 000 in new road restrictions , that there is no one overseeing the illegal parking and miss use and ignoring the signs on the shore , Firstly on Saturdays and Sundays and after 6pm the cars parked along the shore on the double yellow lines is unbelievable, also cars entering from Henderson street and sand port place along the shore passing the Huge no entry sign is just unacceptable, When will this ever be manned as after spending huge amounts on the re- generation in the area at tax payers expense this should be looked at?

Regards , Stuart Thomson (local resident ) who cant park there , and Council tax payer!! .

  • Fantastic, I can commend the local police particularly lately in the huge police presence and booking the offenders, much so they caught 5 on Sunday at once , however , I will anticipate a huge increase in traffic using this when Henderson street is re opened , what would deter them using this road along with the signs is a camera that can book them as it really is a bus lane only,This freeing up police time , with regard the parking on the double yellow lines this still seems to be a problem after 6pm most nights and especially all day at weekends !
