Shameful amount of litter on the verge of the A4074
Reported via desktop in the Street cleaning category anonymously at 16:52, Thu 28 January 2021
Sent to South Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2507882.
There is a huge amount of litter on the verge, and in the hedgerow, of the A4074 - particularly on the stretch between Woodcote and Ipsden. It is shameful - bad enough that people chuck it out of cars, but that it should lie there for weeks without being collected is appalling. This is meant to be an AONB - but it's a mess on that stretch of road/verge, Please, please arrange to have it cleared - now and regularly.
Thank you.

I think some of the litter was cleared away initially, but there's more back now. It doesn't seem to be cleaned regularly. Also - the verges and hedgerows on the A4130 between Crowmarsh and Oakley Wood is absolutely full of litter - some really big bits, as well as the usual stuff. Thank you.

Thanks for checking. Some of it was cleared - although certainly not all - but now the hedgerows and verges have recently been cut back to reveal more litter than ever - it really is absolutely disgusting. Sorry - but much more needs to be done.

It still is absolutely disgusting - on both sides of the road now. Worse than ever. It even looks like toilet paper everywhere in some places. Has anyone actually been to have a look - and do something about it? I don't think so. And it needs REGULAR cleaning - not just once a year! The British and their litter - shameful.
