No. 8 Ebsworth st continue to feed foxes on the street with trays of leftover food, hidden under their car

Reported via desktop in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category anonymously at 16:36, Sat 23 January 2021

Sent to Lewisham Borough Council less than a minute later

Elderly couple at no.8 have been warned by council over the last 6yrs and still feed foxes with dinner leftovers, whole meals sometimes, left sheltered under their 4x4 car. This leads to food scraps being left all over the street, and several, foxes sitting in the street in the evening waiting to be fed. They then jump on cars scratching them, and poo in all the front gardens. They are now spreading to back gardens on both sides of the street and can now be seen at daylight, not just in the evening. Hazard to other local animals with chicken bones being left all over the street and probably encourages rats too. Disgusting messes in front and back gardens of their waste. The problem has gradually increased over the 6yrs I have lived in the street. Is this going to be taken seriously?

This is a public health issue, an animal welfare issue (the RSPCA recommends against feeding foxes in urban areas) and a anti-social behaviour issue.
