Nothing has been done regarding this problem, I've also emailed the council and left messages on their answer machine but they haven't even acknowledged it. Very disappointing, if a fire breaks out in one of the six flats in the stair we've no chance.

The problem is still being ignored by the council. Must be safe to live in a fire hazard hovel.
