Areas of subsidence & potholes
Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 15:07, Tue 19 January 2021
Sent to Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2488564.
Near Poplar Farm / Black Drove, Lady Drove. Downham Market. Approx between the area of the speed limit signs and the change of road surface (outside the 40MPH speed limit), toward the A1122 end of Lady Drove.
Please refer to earlier report NCC ref: ENQ-422958-M2C4M1 made on 13 08 2020.
A 'repair' was made to the affected areas by infilling (to a degree) with cold fill. This was finally done around 19 11 20.
This 'repair' is now disintegrating and has created a number of small, deep pot holes with abrupt edges as well as seeing a return of the areas of depression caused by the original subsidence.
During rainfall these areas fill with water hiding their depth.
Please carry out a proper repair as a matter of urgency.
This situation is being made worse daily by the disproportionate number of HGVs that use this road.
