Footpath from junction down A6 to pedestrian island covered in extremely slippery mud

Parking on pavement near double yellow lines has caused complete destruction of the roadside grass verge. Footpath which leads to the only nearby pedestrian crossing island is no extremely slippery and virtually non-existent in places. Present for ? 2-3 weeks.
