Broken left turn sign

Reported via mobile in the Road traffic signs category anonymously at 12:29, Fri 15 January 2021

Sent to Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2479940.

The left hand turn road sign to Grove Farm on the A134 was hanging loose for weeks, it is now detached from the post at ground level. Very dangerous for us living on the turn off lane, if others don't see it they race past our lane at tremendous speed.

Updates

  • Not fixed and today I received an email from the council saying they were looking into the complaint but it was for a totally different location, in King's Lynn. I'll try to contact them. Frustrating!

  • It's still unresolved. The sign is now ground level, mud or snow covered, and l think it presents a real danger.

  • It was reported almost 2 months ago. The council responded saying it was resolved but they were referring to a repair elsewhere and completely unknown to me and irrelevant to my report. Meanwhile our sign is even worse. There's just a post, the sign is lying on the verge and damaged by being driven over by lorries. Our junction is now dangerous. I would be happy for you to pass this information to the council.

  • First reported in January, more than three months later and it's still the same. The signpost is lying damaged on the roadside, our lane has no signpost. It is a dangerous junction.

  • I can't believe it's still unresolved. The council sent me a reply saying it was resolved but it was in no way related to my complaint. It is still a BIG danger.

  • The sign has not been replaced. It's a real danger because drivers are unaware that there is a junction so they overtake and speed at a really hazardous point. I don't understand why the road sign has not been reinstated.

  • It's over six months since this road sign was damaged and was on the ground, eventually it disappeared. Its absence makes the junction dangerous, drivers are unaware of a road turnoff so they overtake and speed, making it extremely hazardous.

  • I first reported the broken sign in January. It's still lying at the side of the road. Just not good enough Norfolk!
