Cast Iron drain/inspection cover

Reported via iOS in the Roads/highways category by Michael Corcoran at 16:09, Wed 6 January 2021

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2464641.

On Northbound side( nearest line of parked cars) of B3007 Grovenor Rd.. In line with Joining border line between 186/188 Grovenor Rd.

Approx 2 Mt away from kerbstone

“ Split-Lid” inspection cover - Sunken by approx 40 mm.. Liable to cause physical injury.. Or damage to underside of vehicles ... The position it’s in - allows vehicles to create a “ bridge” over the dip in the road... but in the Unfortunate circumstances where an HGV requires more room ( to pass by parked cars) If he pulls over this loose plate... could cause problems

Updates

  • Shifted inspection cover.. Could be sub-terrainial ,, historic damage.. Hopefully not impinged on sewer pipes..... Might be able to salvage by 2 way, temporary lights A Jacking up exercise And a Simple , Strong Weld..
