Unsignposted CCTV cameras overlooking alley + pavement

Reported via desktop in the Other (non-highways) category anonymously at 14:55, Fri 11 December 2020

Sent to East Hampshire District Council and Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2427790.

There are (at least) three CCTV cameras attached to 97 Harrier Way, of which one is next to the the front door, and two (one front, one back), have been perched on the edge of the house and are happily filming the public footpath/alley way, and neighbouring properties, day and night with zero signage. You can see the two front ones on Google Street View.

There are absolutely no signs indicating this is in effect, yet it is quite obvious the cameras are filming general public and neighbouring activity. This is a privacy and Data Protection issue -- signs must be up, especially if the owner is capturing footage of public/private land outside their area.

See https://www.ourwatch.org.uk/ crime-prevention/ crime-prevention-advice/ cctv-domestic-property -- section "Use of CCTV in a public place, such as alleyways" and "Obvious signs must be erected advising people that CCTV is in use in the area. Signs must be clearly visible and readable."
