Request for litter/dog waste bin

Reported via desktop in the Dog fouling category anonymously at 10:52, Thu 26 November 2020

Sent to West Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later

There is a need for a litter/dog waste bin on the footpath adjacent to 56 Newland Mill. A large number of people use the field to walk their dogs and there is nowhere to dispose of waste except in Church Lane and by King George playing field. Also, the public footpath is heavily used and littering is a problem.

  • People have now taken to throwing their plastic bags filled with dog droppings INTO the sheeps' paddock ! So if a sheep doesn't risk choking on the plastic, then there's the risk of picking up an infection .... "Witney - A Town of Animal Lovers ? " emphatically NOT ! ! !

  • If owners decide to buy a dog, thereafter spending every week more money to buy food to put in to the dog, why can't they take their dog's waste home to dispose of ? IE rather than expect everyone else to pay for the disposal of the waste which comes out of their dog ?
