Traffic lights either side of bridge over canal

Coming out of Great Linford Memorial hall and turning left on to Marsh Drive, the traffic lights before the bridge over the often take between 7-10 minutes before they turn green, albeit there is nothing coming from the other direction. The lights when approaching the bridge from the Wolverton Road end always change very quickly. Could someone check the sensor on the other side of the bridge as it seems to ages before the lights change which when alone in the car at night it doesn't seem safe especially as the area is not very open or bright at night.
