Worn Road markings on M42 JCT 10 roundabout

Reported via mobile in the Road markings category anonymously at 09:38, Sat 21 November 2020

Sent to Highways England less than a minute later

On jct 10 of the m42 on the roundabout the road markings have all worn away and are now practically invisible. I use this roundabout twice a day and have had many near misses with people coming over into my lane and nearly hitting me, it is pretty dangerous now and needs sorting asap.

  • Thank you for contacting Highways England about the road markings at M42 junction 10.

We did have resurfacing work planned for this year which would have covered the refreshing of the markings but unfortunately this was cancelled. This is now programmed for delivery in the 21/22 financial year. We have put out warning signs to make drivers aware of the lack of markings but unfortunately there is not much else we can do until the resurfacing work.

We will provide a further update to confirm when the work has been completed.

    Kind regards Highways England
