Flooding at pedestrian crossing after rain

Reported via desktop in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 20:55, Mon 16 November 2020

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2391052.

There is a railing at the school side of Woodlands Grove at the junction with Queens Grove, and after rain the lowered kerb crossing with the dimpled slabs indicating where to cross for blind people gets flooded on both sides of Woodlands Grove. I would have taken a picture but it was raining too much and I had shopping bags.

Updates

  • Still open, via questionnaire, 21:11, Mon 14 December 2020

  • No change. It was dry the other day when I walked past and at the crossing you can see a lot of detritus where the lowered curb meets the road surface, and where this dirt gathers is where the water stays in large puddles when it is raining.
