Pathway from bus shelter to Darwin close is partially bocked due to overgrown hedges.

Reported via desktop in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 15:19, Mon 16 November 2020

Sent to Leicestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2390475.

The pathway from the(Byre cresent) bus shelter into Darwin Close is partially blocked by overgown hedges. For the past 6yrs they have been cut back by a local resident who was later reprimanded for doing so. On speaking to your contractors cutting other shrubs in the same vicinity we are told that this section comes under Highways ect.

Updates

  • Today a contractor came and did a wonderful job of cutting back the shrubs. The problem is he has done this on the wrong side of the pathway. the side that is causing the worry is as seen in my photo shown above.

  • The problem still exist. The contractors tell me they do not know who is responsible for that section.

  • It would seem like no one actually knows who is the owner of this small triangle of shrubs. The council deny any knowledge of it. The highways say it is not in their books.
