Trees Overhanging into the Road

Reported via desktop in the Trees (on the highway verge) category anonymously at 13:36, Mon 16 November 2020

Sent to Hertfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Along this stretch of road (Amwell Hill and Pepper Hill) there are various trees and foliage that overhang into the road. Some tall vehicles such as buses and lorries have to move toward the centre of the road in order to not hit the protrusions , creating extra unnecessary risk. There is also a lot of debris in the road dropped by the tree, including large branches knocked off by vehicles and high winds.

  • I received a response from the council about this issue, but they informed me that they think the risk is low and so it is a low priority for them.
