This situation is first and foremost a health and safety nightmare, as I have seen cars go to move off on the green light, only to have other cars come at them head on! Secondly, the implications on traffic flow in the area is awful, as one of only two crossing points for the railway lines, the road is already a chokepoint and is now near-useless.
