Dangerously slippy manhole cover (trip hazard)

I tripped up on this manhole cover today. I was wearing sensible gripped shoes, yet in the wet weather it was like walking on sheet ice. I stepped onto it whilst walking my dog and went flying. It was a miracle I was not injured. We have a lot of elderly residents walking along here each day to collect their paper and essentials, so please sort ASAP. The manhole cover is just outside the Hodcarrier pub (next to the wall, which is not so far from the entrance).
