Hello, I work for Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust and look after a number of nature reserves. One of which, Loughborough Big Meadow has had a problem with cars crashing through the post and rail fence alongside the road. Is it possible to discuss this with someone or possibly have reflectors put up or armco barriers? I understand that some cars will always crash, but maybe some of those could be prevented.

Hello, I have described above what the problem is and was just wondering if reflective posts could be erected or armco barriers installed at strategic spots? There did used to be reflective posts but gradually these have disappeared. I estimate that 2 cars a year leave the road and demolish the fencing. It can be expensive as the culprits manage to remove their cars before we can get their insurance details. It would be great just to have a chat with someone as it is an issue that has been niggling us for many years. Hope you can assist, Regards Chris Hill
